Everyone knows teachers in Arkansas are underpaid. Newly elected, governor Sara Huckabee Sanders is trying to change that. Yet, this new bill is bringing new controversy to the teaching world. Monday, February 20th a bill was put out known as LEARNS. They then announced that Wednesday, February 22nd at 9 a.m. that people in the teaching community: teachers, staff, principles, and aids would be able to speak their opinions on the bill.

Is it possible to read a 144-page legal document in 40 hours while also teaching students? No! There is no way any teacher or education employee would be able and to read and analyze the 144-page document in a 40 hour time span.

If you have ever been in a public school, you know how it seems that public schools are limited with money anyways. What will happen to these public schools that are already struggling with financials. In my opinion if its money from the public it should stay in the public.
